KIRA ORGANIC FARM

The Farm That Never Stops Experimenting

What if farming wasn’t about finding one perfect way to grow food?

What if it was about constantly asking:

Can we do this better?

That question is at the heart of Kira Organic Farm, founded by Abdul Kadir Wahab (Kadir) and Fakhirah Roslan (Ira) in Ulu Yam, Selangor.

Since 2019, Kira has grown from a small organic vegetable farm into a space for experimentation, learning and agricultural innovation. Their work explores organic, regenerative and syntropic approaches while constantly looking for better ways to grow food, care for the soil and make farming work in the real world.

Farming Without Taking Shortcuts

Kira’s approach is built around working with the farm’s ecosystem rather than relying on synthetic inputs as a shortcut.

Kira has also been recognised under Malaysia’s myOrganic certification , with official records listing Kira Farm among certified organic operations.

  • Organic farming

Growing food without relying on synthetic pesticides and fertilisers.

  • Polyculture

Growing multiple crops together to encourage biodiversity and create a more balanced ecosystem

  • Soil health

Returning nutrients and organic matter to the soil instead of treating soil as an unlimited resource.

  • Regenerative & syntropic approaches

Exploring farming systems that work with natural processes and different layers of vegetation.

More Than Growing Vegetables

Kira’s journey has also taught the founders that a farm cannot rely on vegetable sales alone.

So their work has expanded beyond the farm gate.

Today, Kira is involved in areas including:

  • Organic farming
  • Regenerative and syntropic agriculture
  • Agricultural consultation
  • Farm training and knowledge sharing
  • Community and agricultural projects
  • Experimentation with farming methods and technology

For Kira, sharing knowledge is part of growing agriculture too.

A better farming system becomes more powerful when what is learned on one farm can help others.

Meet the People Behind Kira

Abdul Kadir Wahab (Kadir) & Fakhirah Roslan (Ira)
Co-Founders of Kira Organic Farm

Kira Organic Farm is a story built by two people who shared the same curiosity about agriculture, but brought different strengths to the farm.

With backgrounds in biotechnology from UC Davis and years of experience working in agriculture, Kadir and Ira started Kira in 2019 with a simple ambition: to explore how farming could be done better.

Kadir brought years of hands-on farm management experience, including managing a 70-acre farm, while Fakhirah became an important part of the business and customer side of the farm.

Together, they built Kira not simply as a place to grow vegetables, but as a living experiment in agriculture.

They test different crops, farming systems and ways of working with nature. Some ideas work. Some don’t. And some lead to another question worth exploring.

That willingness to experiment has become part of Kira’s identity.

They don’t believe farming has to stay the way it has always been.

They believe farmers can keep learning, adapting and finding better ways to grow food, care for the soil and make agriculture more accessible.

“Find a problem. Experiment. Learn. Try again.”

Today, Kadir and Ira continue to grow Kira while sharing their knowledge through farming, training, consultation and community projects.

For them, the farm is not the final answer. It is an ongoing experiment.

Come Experience Kira Organic Farm

We believe the future of agriculture will not be built from one farming method alone.

It will come from farmers willing to experiment, adapt and share what they learn.

Kira represents that spirit.

Here is a farm that doesn’t claim to have all the answers.

Instead, they keep asking better questions.

How can we grow healthier food?

How can we work with the soil?

How can organic farming become more practical?

How can young people enter agriculture?

How can knowledge from one farm help another?

That mindset is exactly what we want to help more people discover.
