Centainnel Agriculture
Siputeh, Batu Gajah, Perak | Organic & Biodynamic Farm
Address: 39, Jalan Industri 3, 31560 Siputeh, Perak
A farm built from conviction, not convenience
Just outside Batu Gajah, on what used to be ex-mining land, sits a eight-acre farm that doesn’t look like it should work — but does.
When you walk through Centainnel Agriculture, the first thing you notice isn’t the crops. It’s the soil.
Dark, alive, and clearly worked on for years.
Thanks to Mr Tung, known locally as Ah Niao, together with his wife, Ms Goh.
The land has been turned into a productive growing space with vegetables, fruits, and farm-processed products that go out to local customers through direct orders, education centre on Organic farming and community support agriculture.
Mr Tung envision Centainnel Agriculture to inspire other farms in Malaysia to build an honest food system for our community and the future generation <- that’s where the name “Centainnel” comes from.
“The soil is like a bank account. If you want to use it, you must first accumulate enough assets to yield more produce.”
How the farm works
Centainnel Agriculture runs on a practical organic model built around:
- Biodynamic composting
- Reuse of unused organic matter
- No chemical fertilisers
- Careful soil regeneration
Everything on the farm loops back into the system:
- Food waste → compost
- Crop residue → soil nutrients
- Imperfect produce → processed products
No shortcuts, no synthetic inputs.
Compost here isn’t just fertiliser — it’s the foundation.
Built slowly, over months, using organic matter and natural processes.
And all the produce are supplied to the nearby community via Pre-order based sales through WhatsApp and Direct buyer pickup points.
That matters, because for Mr Tung, the farm is not only about production. It is also about education, trust, and a clearer connection between the people who grow food and the people who eat it. (Community Supported Agriculture (CSA))
🛠️From Engineering to Agriculture
“If a plant is not in top condition, it isn’t the plant’s issue, but the soil.”
Mr Tung started out like many working adults
He studied in Universiti Sains Malaysia and worked briefly as an engineer before returning to Ipoh. Like many others, he could have left for KL or Singapore.
He didn’t.
What shifted things was simple — food.
After having kids, he started paying closer attention to what they were eating. That curiosity turned into research, then experiments, and eventually, a small backyard habit.
One small moment stayed with Mr Tung:
burying leftover food into the soil… and watching it come back to life.
“Little did I know, the soil became fertile. I planted something, and the flowers bloomed beautifully.”
That was the entry point.
What started as a weekend hobby slowly became a full-time commitment. Twelves years in, Mr Tung’s still here — working the same land, through good seasons and bad ones.
“Farming here is not easy. Some months, we can’t even cover salary and mortgage. But I still believe this is the right thing to do.”

What Mr Tung Grows Here
The farm produces a rotating mix of:
- Bitter gourd
- Okra
- Pumpkin
- Kangkung
- Purple sweet potato
- Winter melon
Alongside fresh produce, they also make:
- Sweet potato mee suar & ramen
- Dried fruits (banana, papaya)
- Calamansi jam
All processed on-site, especially to reduce waste during slower sales or unpredictable weather.
A Note from Sebijihub
Centainnel Agriculture is the kind of farm that reminds people why local food matters.
It is a real working farm with a farmer who knows his land, knows his buyers, and has put years into rebuilding soil, trust, and supply.
There’s a quiet stubbornness in farms like this.
Not the kind that scales fast.
But the kind that lasts.
Mr Tung didn’t choose the easy path —
and you can feel that in the way the farm is built, season by season.
If you’re looking to understand what it really takes to grow food differently,
this is one of those places worth spending time in.
